The Safe Home
An organization targeted to aid those who have escaped human trafficking a way out by offering a safe space for them to stay temporarily until they learn the necessary skill sets to take on the world. We will achieve this by offering bed spaces as well as educational classes in their desired work field and group or individual therapy sessions. In addition to that, the organization will also focus on educating the public on the harsh realities of human trafficking and suggest ways to help those affected.
Human trafficking is a huge issue in the world today and is a form of modern-day slavery. Those who get human trafficked do not do it by choice, yet suffer the consequences from it. Because of the horrendous conditions they are in, they are stripped of the opportunity to grow as a person and obtain credentials to obtain a job and a stable income. This organization is here to help combat major effects human trafficking does. Giving them a secure environment coupled with fellow peers and people who want to help will provide a positive atmosphere to recover from the traumatic experience.
There is a hand full of organizations that advocate for anti-trafficking but not too many help survivors fully recover from their past life. It is one thing to help someone escape, but it is another to help them get back up. Thus, this organization focuses on providing services in conjunction with other organizations by doing what the many organizations are not—helping their lives in-depth after escaping.
The Safe Home is an organization not like many around today. It will provide men and women the necessities to thrive in life and ultimately give them a fighting chance to experience what the world is like. It will give survivors hope in experiencing life the way they should have and educate the public on how to react to human trafficking and ways to prevent it.
